The Battle of Omdurman (2 September 1898) was an essential battle in the Mahdist Revolt. British forces under the command of Lord Kitchener moved in and crushed the Sudanese Madhists (Referred to by Jack Jones as Fuzzy-Wuzzies) with overwhelming rifle fire and a bayonet charge.
Lance-Corporal Jack Jones served at Omdurman and constantly reminisces on the battle, especially on Lord Kitchener and the "Fuzzy-Wuzzies".
