George Jones was the father of Lance-Corporal Jack Jones & is the Caretaker of the Peabody Museum of Historical Army Weapons.
Personality
Though being L/Cprl Jones's father, he does not seem to act like one. In the only apperence of George Jones with Lance-Corporal Jack Jones he first calls L/Cprl Jack Jones "Young Jack" however they end up arguing over a ladies legs and calling each other old fools. It is later said that George Jones has maried three time in his life. George Jones also shows a weakness to whisky, as showed in Captain Mainwaring's plan to break into the museam. Sometimes George visits his son Jack for tea, as mentioned in an episode. In his one and only appearance, he was 88 years old. It was mentioned by Jack that he still thought that Queen Victoria was on the throne.
