Gilda Perry played various characters in Dad's Army. She is also Jimmy Perry's wife.
Biography[]
Gilda Perry (née Neeltje) was born in London. Her career in dancing, comedy and choreography range cover all forms like television, theatre and cabaret. She had previously trained as a member of the Ballet Rambert. Between 1956 and 1964, she and her husband, Jimmy were actors and the managers of the Palace Theatre in Watford.

She first appeared in her husband's first sitcom creation as a Blonde in The Loneliness of the Long Distance Walker and then played Doreen of the Plaza Cinema in The Lion Has Phones and the British Restaurant in The Two and a Half Feathers, alongside Linda James as Betty.

- Colin Bean, Nigel Hawthorne, Frank Williams, Jimmy and herself were all Gnomes in the same episode of The Gnomes of Dulwich.
- She acted alongside Mollie Sugden, Frank Thornton, Wendy Richard and Arthur English in one episode of David Croft's other sitcom Are You Being Served?. She was a choreographer in one of the Christmas specials, which also featured Harold Bennett and Penny Irving.
